Zlatan Ibrahimovic had an incredibly eventful Milan derby, with a goal, a red card, and a feisty clash with his old Manchester United teammate Romelu Lukaku.
The 39-year-old had struck the Rossoneri ahead before a frank exchange of words with Lukaku, which ended up with the two strikers butting heads and getting yellow carded for it.
When Lukaku signed for United back in 2017, Ibrahimovic allowed the Belgian to take his number nine shirt – but any love between the pair has clearly been lost.
The yellow card proved costly for Ibrahimovic, who committed a clumsy challenge early in the second half and was shown his marching orders for a second booking.
To add insult to injury, Lukaku later stepped up to slot home the equaliser for Inter in the Coppa Italia quarter-final, making it 1-1 going into the closing stages of the game.
The two Serie A title-chasers are set to meet again in a month’s time, and on this evidence we cannot wait.
