Samsung launched the Galaxy S20 FE in 2020 as a way to get a selection of flagship features from this OEM in a more budget-friendly package. The base-model Galaxy S21 could arguably be said to do the same this year; nevertheless, it is said to also get the FE treatment later in 2021.
This device is thought to come with triple rear cameras that feature some high-end Samsung settings in a frame-hugging housing like that of the rest of the S21 series. These rumors have been converted into new renders that show the putative device in more colors than previous leak-based images.
Again, they are similar to that of the S20 FE. Its projected successor is also said to have advantages such as a 120Hz refresh rate for its FHD+ display. It might have 6 to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The latest word on the S21 FE also suggests that it might have 5G and 4G/LTE-only variants, with the Snapdragon 888 or Exynos 2100 processors respectively..
Based on the S21 series’ pricing scheme, its FE variant might start at between ~US$720 to $841 in Europe at its launch. This new mid-ranger is expected to launch in August 2021 during an upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event.
